- Proof of address (for example, utility bills or bank statements.)
- Passports from our non-UK drivers.
- Driver check codes from our UK drivers.
How do we get personal information and why do we have it.
We ask that you email your personal information to our secure business email or send it via end-to-end encrypted What’s App.
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To confirm you have a clean driver’s licence.
- To confirm your identity and current address
- To provide our self-drive hire insurer Alan Boswell with your information in the event of an insurance claim
- To forward your details as the named driver should you incur a speeding fine or parking fine during your hire period.
If a claim must be made, we may share this information with
- The Alan Boswell Group Insurance Brokers
- The police, local council or Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency ( DVSA )
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep all information for 3 months.

The information is kept in the secure business mailbox or paperwork in a locked filing cabinet. We will then dispose of your information by shredding any stored paperwork such as the rental agreement and deleting emails and What’s App messages containing personal information.
